FSRace Systems and GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a privacy regulation enacted by the European Union (EU) to strengthen the protection of individuals' data. It became enforceable on May 25, 2018, and applies to any company that handles the data of EU citizens, no matter where the company is based.

This page explains how we handle data responsibly, transparently, and securely.

Who we are

FSRace Systems provides a SaaS platform designed for Formula Student teams. We act as a data processor on behalf of teams. Teams remain the data controllers of the information they manage within the platform.

What data we process

Depending on how a team uses FSRace, the platform may contain:

  • Account Information: Names, emails, roles, departments, and authentication data required to access the system.
  • Operational data: Documents, project records, supplier information, budgets, and collaboration content entered by the team.
  • Technical data: Log information necessary for security, troubleshooting, and service reliability (e.g., login timestamps, IP addresses).


We do not sell personal data.


Why data is processed

  • Maintain data integrity
  • Support teams during the season
  • Ensure continuity across generations

Data retention

Teams control what they store and delete. Data remains available for as long as the team maintains its subscription, unless deletion is requested earlier. Backups may persist for a limited technical period before permanent removal.

Security measures

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and billing address during account registration.
  • Order Data: IP address: web browser information, payment email, billing address, payment method (e.g., PayPal or credit card details).
  • Browsing Behavior: Pages you visit, products you view, time spent on the site, and interaction with our marketing campaigns.

Third-Party services we use


None.
Unless you decide to integrate third-party services, for example, to connect to the platform (Google, Microsoft, etc.).

Your rights

  • Request access to their data
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Request data portability


Because teams act as data controllers, many requests should be addressed directly to the team leadership first.
